Conditions Treated with CranioSacral & Myofascial Therapies
Whiplash & BodyworkWhiplash is a traumatic event in which tremendous force is experienced by the whole body. Craniosacral therapy gently releases the forceful event from the soft tissues, encouraging the body to heal more completely and quickly. |
Headaches & Bodywork
Many kinds of headaches exist with even more reasons why they show up. Often, the source of the headache is neck and shoulder tension, but headaches can come from other sources, including jaw clenching, injury, food allergies, sinus pressure, an infection. Craniosacral and myofascial therapy help reduce the sources of headaches in the soft tissues as well as calm the nervous system itself.
TMJ Pain & Bodywork
![]() TMJ pain is experienced as pain not only in the jaw, but elsewhere in the face, the neck, the ear and as headaches. TMJ refers specifically to the temporomandibular joint, but often "TMJ" is used to simply to refer to pain or dysfunction at this key and unique joint. Often, attentive work to the soft tissues around the joint can relieve pain and start the road to overcoming dysfunction in the area.
Muscle Tension & StressShoulder & Neck tension come from too much stress and too much sitting. Both situations lead to imbalances in your body (poor posture) which takes away energy that is needed elsewhere, leaving you prone to injury, aches & pains and illness. Paying attention to your body's needs with exercise, breathing and bodywork helps mitigate the effects of stress and over-sitting. |
Stiff Neck & BodyworkA stiff neck is often caused by a combination of overworked or overstressed muscles as well as malalignment of the spine. Gentle myofascial work can improve both of these conditions. • Learn more about Neck Pain and bodywork at my blog.CranioSacral Therapy and Other Conditions:
